Intrams 2-Key-Onse: ‘Da “PAHABOL” Edisyon
2nd Part Na ‘Tah Mga Taga-Beska!
Weeks passed later, our July 21 & 22 Intramurals 2011 with the theme “Move, Work and Grow as a Team” already bade farewell for now. The sports competitions ended and it’s time to run through some comments, suggestions, ratings, violent reactions and the like from our “madlang pipol”. As I roamed around, I tried to ask a few students from different colleges and external campuses of the Visayas State University about their comments. The 13 teams for sure have to say something about this affair. Just read along.
- How did you find this year’s System-wide Intramural games?
“Nah…Lingaw kaayo daghang gwapo nga bayot sayang…haha. Bitaw nice kay nakaduwa ko bisan pilde pero enjoy man sad…Bitin pero okay ra naka’meet ko’g new friends.”
- Sharmaine A., CME Red Dragons
“Maupay man bisan first time ko pala makabulig nganhi. Damu gihap nam nadaugan ha Athletics. Guinpakita nam tam pagiging palaban.”
- Liza Alta, Tolosa Sharks
“So far, mas active ang mga participants karon. Mas daghan pud ang niapil karon. Unexpected victory comes out.”
- Arnold Mabalda, BSEd IV, CE Tigers
“Lingaw nga kapoy nga gutom. Lingaw kay naa’y taga-external nga nindot muduwa ug mas challenging. Nindot ang external kay naa’y advisers na supportive kaayo, mga sporty ug kumpleto ang uniform. Murag bitin ang Intrams karon. Usahay late na pud mi makakaon.”
- CAFS Aggies Supersonics, Women Softball Team
“Okay ra. Enjoy pud mi na mga players. Naa’y good managing strategies ang mga officials dire.”
- Bernadette Aringoy, VSU Isabel Cyberwarriors
“Okay man la. I just want to stress out that it would have been much better if the schedule wasn’t that compressed. The organizers should have prepared this Intrams in a 3-days smooth-sailing event so that the officiating officials and players can take a break. During ordinary and “normally scheduled” sports event, 2-3 softball games can be played within half of the day either morning or in the afternoon. Actually, I pity the players who didn’t have time to rest because of the very stiff and successive playoffs. In addition, I would like to recommend that a memorandum requiring the full attendance of all college students here in the main campus to join the opening parade be of effect or made. This means not just the athletes; players and officials are required to attend the said occurrence but also the students.”
- Dr Alfredo E. Porcare, Coach & Adviser of Alang-alang Panthers
Women Softball Team
“Okay ra man. Kapoy na kaayo kay 3rd consecutive game na namo karon. Ganiha pa mga alas-12 or ala-una kapin nagsugod. Pero sige lang. Unya maayo kay nabuild ang amo unity sa team. Enjoy kay daghan nailhan gikan sa external campuses.”
- CE Tigers, Women Softball Team
“Lingaw kaayo I had a great time watching different kinds of sports this Intramurals. From the opening till the closing, it is such an amazing Intrams I’ve ever participated.”
- Michelle Dagwan, CME Red Dragons
“This Intrams 2011, we wanted to win, we already did our best but we failed to. At least, we can say we tried. We really had a great time staying here and playing different sports here in the Main Campus. We had new experiences. Great!”
- Rafael P Miranda, VSU Alang-alang Panthers
“We enjoyed the game. Kahit nakakapagod ang laro. Umulan man o umaraw, tuloy pa rin ang game. More power Bravehearts kahit 2nd lang kami sa Men’s Volleyball. That’s all I can say.”
- COE Bravehearts
“Bakit minadali ang awarding? Sapagkat yung ibang laro ay hindi pa tapos. Suggest ko lang, dapat 3 days ang laro!! Isipin natin ang kapakanan ng mga manlalaro. Mabaho pa galing laro, awarding agad.”
- COE Bravehearts Players
“Naa’y uban na kulang ang practice, ang uban nindot ang performance. Murag mubo ug bitin ang Intrams karon. Mas nindot unta ang events. Pero so far, excellent and successful ang 2011 Intramurals.”
- Eli Jasper Nalangan, CAS/CFNR/CN Sylvan Knights
“Mas lingaw ron kay naa’y taga-external nangapil pero bitin”
- Gabz, DVM Cowboys
“Bitin kaayo ang Intrams. I-rate nako mga 7.”
- Anicka, DVM Cowboys
“Mas lingaw sa una. Mga 5 aku pagrate.”
- Daisy, Biotech4, CAFS Aggies Supersonics
“Rate naku mga 8. Mas lingaw sa una.”
- Erms, CAFS Aggies Supersonics
“For me, I would rate it 7 because this year, Intrams is quite not prepared, unya mas organized pa ang mga external campuses factions kaysa sa main.”
- Ace Jay Dandoy, CAS/CFNR/CN Sylvan Knights
You’ve heard them right. Do you have the same sentiments that they shared? Need they say more? It can be possible. And there’s more for sure. So, let’s all get kickin’ for next year’s Intrams. Well, anticipations held high, looking forward to see improvements for next year’s celebration and the next years to come.
